TRAVIS AIR MUSEUM  becomes
JIMMY DOOLITTLE AIR & SPACE MUSEUM
AT TRAVIS AIR FORCE BASE HERITAGE CENTER

THE JIMMY DOOLITTLE AIR AND SPACE MUSEUM EDUCATION FOUNDATION has created a new museum plan for a complex that will include expanded interactive exhibits and aircraft. The new museum will have a new identity as the Jimmy Doolittle Air & Space Museum at Travis Air Force Base Heritage Center. This public air and space museum will bring the best of the original Travis Air Museum to a new public site where people from around the world will be inspired by the history of California aviation pioneer Jimmy Doolittle, the Tokyo Raiders, the Berlin Airlift, the Tuskegee Airmen, the WASPS and the history of Travis Air Force Base’s global airlift.

THE JIMMY DOOLITTLE AIR AND SPACE MUSEUM EDUCATION FOUNDATION mission is to merge the historical, educational and technological resources available to the museum. These resources will be brought together to create programs which preserve our aviation heritage in building an air and space museum for all ages that embraces California aviation, Travis Air Force Base, the U. S. Air Force and the history of the Doolittle Raiders.
